As a teacher, I engage and connect with students through the joy of music and learning. Music has a
transformative power to enrich all areas of our lives. It is a privilege to join students in
discovering and developing their potential as people, through music.
I work alongside children and their families guided by the Suzuki method, also called the
Mother-Tongue method. The main tenet of this method is that “every child has talent” and can
learn to play a musical instrument following the same principles as learning to speak, and
eventually read, their first language. I encourage a ‘love to learn’ philosophy which is
engaging and playful. Music lessons are much more than learning an instrument; they are about
developing the person as a whole.
Testimonials
In March 2022 I observed one of Hanna's group classes and several one-on-one lessons
in Amsterdam and at the Accademia Filarmonica in Utrecht. In all these venues she
encouraged her ‘love to learn’ philosophy. She kindled their imaginations and their
curiosity as she worked to develop/establish a solid foundation and skill set to
help students appreciate the discipline involved in playing an instrument and most
importantly life skills.

of “The Embodied Violinist”
Hanna is a talented violinist who has studied with exceptional teachers; she is a
wholesome and welcoming teacher. Great attention goes into each student's
individual abilities therefore the atmosphere of the lessons is always
comfortable, informative, and inspiring, making the results visible and
clear.
Gulnara, mother of student, age 11
My daughter simply loves Hanna and waits for classes.
Maithri, mother of student, age 5
My son had the attention span of a fly when he started classes with Hanna. 2 years
later, he plays flawless Bach and is ready to explore Dvorak. Coming from a
non-musical family, this experience has been such a blessing. My son feels so
special and genuinely believes that playing violin is his super power now. Thank
you Hanna for your ocean of patience with the kids and your passion in inspiring
us to play the violin.
