Resources

Here you will find a list of resources which have been meaningful to my work.

I have included them as I believe they may be helpful or of interest to you as a parent or colleague.

Accademia Filarmonica Utrecht

Since 2018, I have had the pleasure of teaching at The Accademia Filarmonica in Utrecht. This is a non-profit Suzuki violin school offering an enriching musical curriculum for families and Suzuki Teacher Training programs for teachers.

European Suzuki Association

The European Suzuki Association, Dutch division, is part of a global musical family dedicated to nurturing children through music. Here parents, students, and teachers can find information about workshops and courses available.

The Embodied Violinist

This is a book that I refer to often. It is written by my teacher, Gwen Thompson-Robinow, who compiled her knowledge from over 50 years of teaching and playing the violin. The Embodied Violinist includes compelling concepts, many of which I experienced first-hand during lessons and now apply with my own students. Ms. Thompson-Robinow is a great inspiration to me as she is to so many violinists, musicians, and teachers.
Every violinist should buy this book. — The Strad, July 2018

European String Teachers Association

The European String Teachers Association is a professional community that is passionate about delivering high quality music education. Both teachers and players can access platforms to share and exchange ideas in the service of music and their students.
